  • Red Square Banners
    • Process
      • You must make a reservation via eventspace.georgetown.edu.
      • The banner must be approved by GEMS. GEMS will reach out to request a digital copy while processing your request.
      • GEMS will confirm your request via email.
      • You must submit a work order via facilities.georgetown.edu to have your banner hung. A confirmation from GEMS is required. Detailed instructions will be provided in your confirmation email.
      • To submit your work order click the blue button “Submit A Service Request.”
      • You must transport the banner to Work Management in B-24 Harbin no later than 2 p.m. the Friday before the beginning of your reservation .
      • You must pick up your banner no later than 12 p.m. the Tuesday following the end of your reservation. If you do not pick up your banner, it will be disposed of.
    • Banners should be for the purpose of marketing events or formal university programs.  Any banner hung in Red Square must include the name of the sponsoring organization. 
    • Banners must comply with the University Speech and Expression Policy and other relevant policies.
  • Tabling
    • Any student group with access to benefits or department is allowed one free table rental per day (with reservation).
    • Table must be checked out from GEMS between 10-10:30 a.m. the day of the reservation or by 30 min after the start of the reservation.
    • Tables can be reserved from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • A $125 replacement fee will be charged if tables are not returned.
    • Chairs and tablecloths are not available for free tabling requests.
    • Please contact GEMS for complex events that need more than a table to discuss your needs.
    • Red Square tabling must occur in Red Square.
    • Student Centers manages tabling in the Leavey Center and the HFSC.
    • Tabling may be limited due to large events in Red Square, such as the Farmer’s Market.
