Meet Jacob Mendel, Our New Staff Member

Jacob Mendel is the new Assistant Director of Georgetown Event Management Services (GEMS).

Jacob Mendel is excited to join the Georgetown University community as the new Assistant Director of Georgetown Event Management Services (GEMS). Jacob brings five years of experience in events with the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the College of William and Mary, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

He has a BA in Government from William and Mary with a focus on Asian security issues and American history. At ABI, Jacob worked with a team focused on developing and hosting digital learning initiatives. At William and Mary, he wore many hats including Teaching Assistant, A/V Supervisor, Assistant Technical Director, and High Ropes Course Facilitator. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia by way of Singapore, where he acquired a love of curries. In his free time, Jacob enjoys mountain biking.
